How to keep email app on nokia lumia 635 from automatically deleting older emails?

On myblackberry, all the emails that came in and were sent since I activated the phone remained on the device. With my lumia 635, they seem to automatically discard emails from 5 days ago. I looked under settings and there doesn't seem to by any way to adjust it. I have one yahoo email account and one gmail account configured to the phone. Thanks in advance!

In the email settings there should be some option to set how far back it syncs. By default I think its 7 days. (as in it only keeps the last 7 days of emails in memory)

I personally set it to 1 month.

I think Yahoo has the functionality of saving emails into archive folders,you can easily move them there and whenever you need to see those emails just sync the particular folder.

Yup. Settings>email +accounts. Choose the account and specify how far back it syncs.
