HERE map's compass mode is great but it goes into lock screen rather quickly. Is there anyway to prevent that?

-change time out to 5 min, that it until you hit start navigation then it doesn't.

Navigation does not have satellite images, does it? I need satellite images because I will be navigating a river.

yes just click that icon on the right -map options its a circle with a solid square floating above an outlined square.

Navigation actually takes you out of the HERE map and into a driving app of your choice of which I have 3. But none of those choices have satellite images. What I need is to stay within the HERE map app and using the compass mode and have the lock screen disabled. I guess there is no such option.

I think you can go into setting of the phone. Setting -> Lock screen -> Screen Times out after, select Never. That should leave the screen on until you hit the power button.

I don't have the "never" option and I have an AT&T 920. Even if I have it, I most likely won't use it as I only want the HERE map to not go into the lock screen.

There is an app GMaps+ that does what I want.

I have an AT&T Lumia 920 and it most definitely has the Never option as that is what mine is set to all the time. If you would only use the Never option when using Here Maps why not just set it back to whatever amount of time when finished using Here Maps?
