Hi,
My first post!
I have a Lumia 640 LTE originally from O2 however, my 2 years are up so I have moved to Utility Warehouse (EE). I have unlocked the phone so that the EE sim works, and so far everything is fine.

My question is how to remove O2 splash screen branding from the phone, and other O2 stuff?
Also, will the update process and availability of updates be affected given that the phone no longer relies on updates from O2?

Anything else I should be thinking about now that the phone is mine?
Cheers
Lewis

Removing the O2 splash screen would involve reflashing the phone using certain software tools, and I'm actually not sure whether we can do that on recent models.

(It would erase the phone regardless)

Even though the phone is unlocked, it is still tied to O2 for updates. HOWEVER, on Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft already can push OS updates without carrier interference. They can control firmware updates though, but that doesn't matter anymore because MS isn't going to be updating the firmware of that phone anyway.
