How to restore data from app's backup?

I have a backup file (.bak) from Windows Phone's app "Finance Tracker+". The file contains some info of operations how my money were spend. Does someone knows how to convert this data to something editable? Tried to import bak file to excel and sql, but the data was unreadable.
