How's the L925 nowadays?

I'm a day or so away from my Mozo battery cover coming in for my Lumia 950, and I'm thinking about grabbing one of these just to have as a backup phone.

I've always heard so many speak so highly of the build quality of this phone, saying that if I ever had my hands on this phone there's no way I'd ever think Lumia 950 felt like a quality phone... but without the SD card slot, the 925's always been on my ignore list.

16GB of storage simply won't work for my daily driver, but I'm seriously considering this as my rainy day phone. Whaddya think?

I have had a L925 as may daily work/business phone since approx two years + . This unit works like a charm & is rock solid and have high build quality. Also a convenient size & design, I think. Even if the newer phones have more features, it still is a really nice device. I hope this one still last a while for me. Soon to be W10M upgraded.

(I also have L930, L830, L820, L735, L520 in my private "collection" to compare with.)

Upgraded my L925 (and L930, L830, L820, L735) to W10M 10586.107 this weekend. Upgrade, factory reset, no restore. So a clean configuration. Works really well to be a Insider preview release & this old L925 h/w. The "Skype video" app is the only thing that I so far have found out to not work out in the L925 as supposed to, it can't find the camera. W10M still miss some features that where in WP8.1. But otherwise it is quite okay so far. I won't roll back.

Edit: Forgot one thing. I haven't found a way to configure Glance in the L925 W10M .107 , out of the box. So I downloaded the App "SysApp Pusher", installed Glance & tada it shows up in the Extras menu...

Good morning Blackadder. Glad your 925 proves to be serving you the way you were hoping it would. Like I said before, I couldn't find one in SA and settled for an extremely cheap ( ? 90 ) brand new white 830.
A couple of months later I have no complaints whatsoever as everything works like a charm. I even got used to the 5 inch screen. I've haven't had any crashes or other mishaps so altogether I'm a happy chappie.

Shame! No snow here Blacky. Sunny and 29 degrees and a cappuccino still only costs 90 p. so no swapping I'm afraid! Put on your moon boots and go for a long walk in the snow.

just get my 3rd lumia 925, after using 730 and 640xl, now i decide to get another 925.
Got T-Mobile version for $99.9 still testing and will use it as my 2nd devices and to take a better photos with phone (a better android cam is more expensive then buying a mirrorless camera)
