How's the new Photos app? Do you like it?

For me, I don't like it. The Photos app on WP8 is way better and more "Metro". I miss the background on the app whenever I open it. Ugh.

Prefer the 8.1 version.
I like the date organization.
The old photos UI was confusing for this old man.

I for one don't mind the new version. It is definitely less hassle to access the newest photos and also cleaner/faster
Also one thing that got a lot better is how the skydrive and facebook albums work, it's not a mess like before anymore.

new design is taking so long to load my pictures
old design on wp8 is fast, I click "photos hub" then all picture show up
in wp 8.1 it take 3-4 secs before all my picture show up

I like it however they should bring back the option to add background photos when browsing through the app XD

It's crap and as one of my primary reasons for using my phone I don't even want to use the phone anymore. Photo sorting is just bad, many images I had saved are now unreadable/appearing a gray squares ("Can't get photo, try again later" even though they are saved locally) and no more photo background in hub? Ugh...
