The HP Spectre X360 been lauded by many tech enthusiasts (and rightly so) as one of the best laptops in 2015. It offers the best mix of functionality, performance and price. Thus I find it baffling that when HP released the Spectre X360 refresh, they did not include a fingerprint scanner that is capable of supporting Windows Hello. I can understand that they may have had not enough time to include an iris or infrared camera for facial recognition. But not to include a fingerprint reader is just lazy and miscalculation that they will pay dearly for.

If the Spectre Refresh had Windows Hello, it would be at the top of my "Next Windows 10 Device" list. Since it doesn't, I'll have to spend more for a Surface device. I just hope that HP can wake up from this blunder rapidly and release a third refresh before the Christmas shopping season.

I couldn't agree more. There don't seem to be any 360 degree laptops wroth a fingerprint reader.

I was just about to buy the Skylake HP Spectre X360 yesterday - as there were some amazing deals. But then I thought about typing my password out every time my screen locked for the next few years. It's such a shame as it is so close to being my perfect laptop.

I will just have to wait to see if the leaked Lenovo X1 Yoga has a fingerprint reader!
