HTC 8x won't turn on

So I have a new problem with my second piece of sh*t 8x after the front camera started acting up I decided to hold on to it until my contract ends well guess what yesterday the phone wouldn't turn on it worked all day until I went to break at work and it wouldn't turn on. Thought the battery was dead but I plugged it in and it vibrated but nothing happened. Looked at the phone the charging led was blinking red any advice out there before I just pony up the money to buy either the Icon or ativ se out of pocket
