htc locations services not working?

everytime i try to get gps directions from htc locations, everything seems to work seemlessly until i try and route the directions. then it gives me an error message saying that i dont have an internet connection... ? any thoughts? anybody else having this problem?

really i would love to be able to use this app because gps is a must for me and one of the reasons i ventured back to android for a very sghort while. (didnt last long) i got it to work pwerfectly the very first time, every since i have had no luck, even tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it...

Not sure how long you have had it. I know they released an update where you now have offline maps. It requres you to download the map section. I don't know if this is different than it used to be, but if you have not used it in a while, you might have to download the maps.

I have the exact same problem with the htc locations app on my tophy. I can only get directions or maps when my phone is connected to wifi, otherwise it says there is no internet connection, which makes the app completely useless in the car. And i read somewhere that offline maps only work for a month and then need to be paid for, which would be a real bummer if i can't get the maps to load over 3g. I emailed htc today so if they send me a fix i'll be sure to pass it on.

I'm getting the "No internet connection" message also. Is the service still up?
