They are actually correct... (Almost)

Once you insert the foreign (non-VZW) SIM and switch the phone mode accordingly - switch to GSM over CDMA or Global - and the APN editing box does appear. What they aren't telling you is that there is only a DATA APN box... There isn't one for the MMS APN...

I still haven't gotten access to the MMS APN either, so I don't even know if there is an additional unlock!

I actually took mine back to Verizon and decided to wait for T-Mobile to release it. Not necessarily in that order but...
