I have a nokia 630 and I can't make any local calls, because the number appears as an international call. Why?

I'm from Brazil and the numbers simply appear in parenthesis.

Ex.: normal number --> 829199-xxxx
But, in the phone --> +1 (829) 199-xxxx

Why? How can I fix this?

Have you set your phone language and region to US?

Because those are dialling US phones (+1). In US, phone numbers have only 7 numbers but the area code (c?digo de ?rea) have 3 numbers, that's why you're seeing them like these. +1 for USA, (XXX) for area code and YYY-XXXX for the number.

You can keep your settings in US but try changing your Regional format to Portuguese (Brazil) under region in Settings. Also it's always better to save the number as full, including the country code, for Brazil the code is +55 -> +55(XX)YYYY-YYYY. This way you can call the number in any country.
