I have a dented volume button, can it be replaced?

My volume butted is dented in the middle and basically jammed. The phone things I am constantly changing the volume and renders the touch display useless. Can I replace the button, or the frame or is there a software way to disable volume control from the physical button?

It's a bit difficult to answer not knowing which device you are currently using.
