i need original ditigizer

Upon closer inspection of the pic myself, I can actually make out the Nokia logo on that specific digitizer when I angle my screen in certain ways, which hints at marker covering it. So I'm also hoping he just doesn't know the parts well enough to speak about them. But yeah, I think that's crazy. Based on how many digitizer resellers there are, it seems like you'd have to go out of your way to NOT put the logo on.

i had also observed it and i was 100% sure that it was a marker. There would not be nokia logo at all. I cannot find any reason to print it in black.

ok i received it. THe part is fake. Nokia logo exists but it is bold. But the worst thing is that the capacitive buttons do not have the mirrored color. The are printed grey and are smaller than the genuine one. I will post pictures

You never know what you are going to get at ebay. I got an original flash module from witrigs.com. Shipping takes a while and is resonable but the part was correct and it was the only place I could find the module for the 920.

f88 do you parts include mirrored buttons or printed?

Mine don't look printed on, they have the mirrored quality to them. I'm sorry to hear it's a fake...Are you still going to go ahead and install that one or keep shopping around for an original part?

i will ask a full refund and try to find a genuine one. the problem is i cannot understand it from pictures.! Even the seller with 100% feedback i had found, told me that they are not mirrored. It look strange to me. They buy it and do not care if it is mirrored or not?

Sorry to hear how this has unfolded. Seems like trial and error are the only solutions to your situation. You'll never really know until you're holding each one for comparison.

ok the seller refunded me without sending it back. My question now is where to find an original one. i read on another thread that a fake one may not have the clearblack coating etc. Confused! A seller advised me to but touch+lcd since it has more chances to be genuine because it is the part that nokia offers as a replacement

whats the difference between those 2:
http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-nok...ive-and-light-guide-without-carrier-logo.html
http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-nok...creen-with-adhesive-without-carrier-logo.html

on the second one the light guide is missing. do i have to remove the light guide from my old touchscreen and put it on the new one? They also seem to differ on the electronics used on the botttom of the synaptics chips. the first has 4 while the second 7. The original posted here has 4: http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...-touch-works-fine-diy-repair.html#post2125643

This is something I noticed on two different 920s that I worked on, and this was prior to replacing the screens. The bottom chips were different, as were the inner workings of the LCD screens. I just chalked it up to different manufacturers having slight differences in production, but I'm completely out of my element as far as that goes. You might have to reuse the old light guide, but that shouldn't be too tricky. If you buy the LCD+digitizer, you'll probably be purchasing the rest of the assembly too, in which case you'll have to move over your old ribbon cable with the buttons, unless it comes with it. If you buy the full assembly though it'll be a far easier job. But of course, the question is finding a genuine one.

from what i have found out, the correct chip is the one manufactured by synaptics. the only one i have found on ebay with synaptics is the one i posted before :

BUT the capacitive button are printed silver and do not have the mirror effect! Moreover, the left arrow seems fake compared to the original one

EDIT: i also found this. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item58a0a74b7a it is the only with correct buttons. i will ask the seller for the chip and if is syntaptics i will buy it. He told me that it is not original, but i found out that there is no original touchscreen digitizer out there. Only the full assembly can be original
