I wanna buy a new phone. which is an overall best?(535 or 550 or 540)

i wanna buy an affordable windows phone which can or is upgraded to windopws 10. Plz suggest me the best among LumiA 535, 540 and 550.

• Age - this is easy, 550 is newest and was made for W10M.
• LTE - only 550 has this.
• With a slightly smaller screen (@ 4.7") the 550 is smaller and lighter. It does gain some thickness though. Might help with grip?
• 535 loses on screen resolution. The other two are about equal in screen.
• The 550 gains a Snapdragon 210 SoC which might appear slightly slower on paper, but is more efficient and capable (LTE - Video Playback) https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/comparison
• 540 has better cameras (front and rear)
• 550 has slightly better GPS and Bluetooth protocols
• 535 is the loser for battery. On paper the 540 has the largest battery. The 550 is only 100 mAh behind, but the more efficient SoC should make it come out on top.

I'd choose the 550. Unless:​ If camera is a major factor or you want the option of reverting to 8.1 then go with 540. 535 really shouldn't have anything to recommend it unless the price is that much better.

550 as my opinon apon experience is that has some motherboard issues. Which are replaced in warrany, 535 has age old screen but its a good phone overall

Lumia 550 is the way to go but if you can get your hands on a Lumia 640 used, that is a better bet!

I have a 535 DS.I had bought it when it was the only Microsoft branded phone available.It has the major disadvantage that there is no zoom in camera.I had to install a 3rd party app for this purpose (I use 1shot).I never dreamt that phone camera would not have zoom, when phones with a lower price tag had this function.Also it is a 3G phone, no 4G capability.So in my opinion it is better to buy 550 or 640.

By the way front camera of 550 is seeming to b too low on paper. Is it the same in real?

It's only 2 megapixels but actually does it's job just fine. Of course, you can't compare it to the FFC of the S7/G5 etc. My opinion: just go with the Lumia 550 already. It's the newest device and runs windows 10 just fine. The screen is amazing for the price!

Yes people always look at the numbers, the actual 210 has additional arm instruction sets which make it more efficient, especially with memory management. It's like thinking an older pentium that is clocked higher will run better than lower clocked newer chips. It's not that simple. I keep hearing people complain that it's using 210 vs. 400 so it sucks.... cuz you know 400 is a higher number.
