I Want To Do A Hard Reset for The Lag On My WP...Anything I should Do Before?

So far ive been having this really bad android like lag for the past week...It was fine when I first got the Update but it has become unbearably sluggish and laggy...
I have heard from quite a gew people that a hard reset usually fixes the problem. What I want to know is...Will I lose my apps I moved into my SD Card if I hard reset my phone?
And Should I copy the entire SD card folder into my computer so I can copy it back unto the card AFTER I hard reset?

I removed some apps I don't use and pics and tons of text messages and then held power off and volume down till it reset and works great. Depends on if you are running 8.0 or new 8.1 preview. And yes if that doesn't work a full reset almost always works. Not sure but I think if you do hard reset yes you lose everything but in settings you can make sure you are backing up photos, text, pics and stuff. I'm not expert but worked for me.

So WHAT DOES get backed up if I do a hard reset? Will apps I had before install themselfs again? What about music and contacts?

In settings it tells you what it backs up. Once you log in again and go to the store you can go yo your apps reinstall. It won't charge you again for apps you bought. You can probably google your question and get more detailed feedback. It took little work but I got everything back.
