If you could choose any device...

Personally, I think the device I would have liked running full windows 10 mobile is one that isn't out yet - so I'm waiting

I'd say the iPhone 6s. Perfect size for me. But since I have a Lumia 735 the size is irrelevant since it is basically almost the same as the 6s. I guess I just want the 6s internals (or similar) for my 735...

I have to say my 950XL (Which of course runs 10 anyway).

My 1520 sits proudly in my drawer of honour next to my HTC HD2, both have had a good life, both served with pride, but I have to say my XL is the best phone I have owned, and in a couple of years it to will have a place in the drawer.

Something small like the iPhone SE size, but more rugged with a polycarbonate build that when put in a slim Amzer case would be unlikely to get damaged. I want a phone with a great camera that disappears into any pocket. I only need two square tiles across on the homescreen--tiles are perfect for small phones. The old Lumia 635 is about the right size and shape, but needs better specs and camera!

Agreed, as I have often said all I wanted was a faster 1020. Beyond that I am thinking Sony again for the camera or maybe the coming Motorola Z.

I have always loved the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. I would love to have the specs of the upcoming HP Elite X3 in the body of the Z Ultra.

The SE is reliable, fast, compact and will get faster updates and longer than the Sony.

Hands down my LG G2. Great phone, compact size, terrific camera, long battery life. Only thing missing to make it perfect would be built-in wireless charging and a fingerprint scanner.

I have always felt HTC had some of the best designs hardware-wise and they often made little tweaks to the hard/software that were either evolutionary or revolutionary. Some HTC devices i have owned are the original Touch (great formfactor), the Touch Pro 2 (best smartphone keyboard on a non blackberry device), Nexus One (it was made by HTC, felt great and was almost indestructible).

The HTC One models have always felt great in the hand and aren't too big to use single handed, so for what its worth i think i would like a phone that is basically a 5 inch Nexus One with a 1080p screen and more modern innards. Android would be OK however i moved away from it due to some of Google's practices and the fact that Google now and maps have always been useless to me. Google Now never gives me relevant info to me, yes it recommends stuff but it always recommended things when its too late to go or buy tickets. and google maps always recommends terrible public transportation and walking directions (it has recommended I walk across an 8 lane highway that has no way to cross where it says to cross). i haven't run into either of those issues with Cortana yet, Cortana has noticed music in my collection and recommended concerts based on them, hell it even gives me a heads up to comedy shows featuring comics that I listen to via podcasts. Google movie searches nearby were better (or was it that i had apps to find and buy tickets on android).

lumia 925 with usb c, SD 820, and 4 gb of ram. then, revise the cases to not just be for qi, but also battery extenders.
also, with an ntrig screen so i can use my surface pen if for some reason i wanted to.

After reading the whole thread, i am torn between Moto Z or the Priv. I checked out the Priv, i felt the Keyboard was a compromise on that device. Soo....
I ll go with the Moto Z - the weight of a iphone6S, but screen of a 6S plus. Being thin doesn't hurt. I also like the gold color. The 950 is not exactly thin or light.

It sounds crazy but I think I would stick with my 950XL. It's really about the screen size/bezel ratio and I love my iris scanner. Maybe the new note that is coming out with likely a better iris scanner. I do like the S7 Edge but modifications to windows mobile would have to be made to take advantage of the side edge. I think it could be cool if say you are in messaging and all your chat heads are on the edge so you can tap them to bring up the conversations. And if an app isn't taking advantage of it like messaging possibly have all your background apps showing on the edge so you can flip between them without holding the back button for task switcher.

How the back of the phone looks isn't that important to me. The screen/front is the most important to me. That's what I look at all day. I don't care if it's metal. I prefer the grip of the leather mozo case to any metal phone I have held. It feels good holding leather.
