Images and Videos appearing blurred on WhatsApp?

I receive quite a few images and videos from contacts on WhatsApp and allocate them into various folders using the 'Files' App later. I then upload them to OneDrive and delete them from the phone's/SD card's memory.

At both stages, the same images appear blurred and videos do not open on WhatsApp.

Could anybody explain why this happens?

I use a Nokia Lumia 520 with Windows Phone 8.1.

WhatsApp does not recognize anymore the files, that's why they can't be opened at full res from Whatsapp even if the app memorize a "screenshot" of the image/video to save data space
