Improving battery life after updating to Amber.

I just bougt a new lumia 720 and after the second charging , i was only be able to use it in 11 hours

Depends on how you've used the phone. Apps that are memory and CPU intensive consume more power. Ex Games.

My battery life went way up with the GDR2 and Amber update and no change in settings on my 920. It also corrected a problem I've spoken about where the battery would drain completely in under 5 hours when I was inside this thickly constructed building (a Sunday morning job I have) as it constantly searched for the LTE signal. This problem has gone almost completely away as now my battery only drains 20 to 30% in this same building post update.

Very, very happy with Amber and GDR2. Fixed a lot of little things for me.

Congrats. But the opposite has happened in my case. My 720 was a beast pre amber and I would to keep my data always on and still got around 1 day 18 hours with whatsapp, weather,wechat,6tag and other running in the background. Now its max 24 hours.

Could you give a more detailed usage pattern? I'm sure fb and reading news aren't the ONLY thing you do with your phone
