In WhatsApp Chats, phone numbers instead of names are shown

Under Windows mobile 10, in WhatsApp Chats, phone numbers are being shown instead of names. WhatsApp support says this is a well known Windows problem they can't solve - whereas Micrsoft doesn't provide a solution if being contacted. I would very much like to have this nagging problem solved finally. Please try to assist. Thanks.

I never had such a problem, but I would try to do the following:

- Check if all those numbers are saved under a contact in your People app. If so, make sure they are saved only under one name and not to multiple contacts.
- Try refreshing the contact list in WhatsApp.
- Try reinstalling the WhatsApp.
