Instagram colour shift after edit?

Just lately, when using Instagram on Windows 10 Mobile (build 10.0.15047.0) if I take an image and then select 'Edit' and then resize an image, on exiting after the edit I am experiencing a significant colour shift - reds become blue and the image takes on an overall blue shift. No filters are applied. This only happens if the edit is done after the image capture. It does not happen if the image is saved/shared and then edited afterwards.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any clues why, and of a solution?
