Internet Explorer on WP8.1 - Mobile sites not rendering after Update 1?

Ever since they changed the browser to mimick iOS/Android, I'm noticing many sites not rendering in mobile view anymore (WPCentral included ironically). Is anyone else having this issue? Before Update 1, most of these sites scaled to mobile view fine.

OKCupid is totally unusable after the update. Mobile and desktop.

Like most sites are showing in desktop mode now even when I have mobile view selected. WPCentral for example does have a mobile view, but it no longer shows after this update so now I see the full desktop view.

when I go to wpcentral.com it automatically switches to m.wpcentral.com and shows the mobile version.

I have a similar issue. I have to admit, it is irratating. Browsing is no longer fun

I haven't noticed any issues with sites rendering incorrectly. As for WP central, I think it is their site re design that was poorly done. Since it was redone, when ever I go to it it renders the mobile view, which is always taken up by a quarter to half the available view blocked by at least three different ads. When ad revenue takes precedence over user experience they may as well sell out to Google.

with data sense on automatic I get the desktop view of the BBC website but with DataSense off I get the mobile view.

m.ebay.com redirects to wap.ebay.com i guess it's to force Apple users to use the app lol. But other versions, m.ebay.it for example, works as intended. I also tried the okcupid mentioned before and works fine in mobile view

I had the worst experience this past week with trying to setup in-flight WiFi on Southwest. IE11 allows for no navigating on the purchase page (no scrolling, zooming, etc.) The only way to navigate the page is to put focus on different input boxes on the from to force the page to move when you move focus. Absolutely ridiculous. For anyone curious, the only way to get the screen to show the "Accept & Pay" button so that you can actually submit your information is to use the IE11 feature of "find on page" and search for the word "Cancel". It took far too long to figure it out.

It's been awful since the update, though I have the opposite problem, can't view desktop sites, even when I've selected that option. Ebay UK is dire and redirects to the wap site (wap!?). Quite a few sites won't scroll, or are too big for the screen, but I can't zoom out. Also my phone (1020) runs warm when using IE and it's a battery hog.
