So, I just did something that seems like standard website fare...
I opened Internet Explorer and typed "walmart" into the address bar.
Did it assume that I wanted to go to Walmart.com: Save money. Live better.
No.
Did it open up a search page with Walmart.com: Save money. Live better. as the first result?
No.
What did it do?
It opened up the Bing app and defaulted to the local search.
It showed me the location of local walmart stores as the default result for typing "walmart" into my web browser's ADDRESS field.
That is just odd.

Sounds about right. You didn't provide an address, you provided a search term. When you search, it does it in the Bing app.
