Yet it has 4G, dual core processor, retinal screen, 1080p video capture, gesture based multitasking, not to mention tons of apps. WP7? Not so much.

And a full blown windows 8 tablet is going to be as inefficient, as loud and as expensive as a full blown PC. I am sure Apple is worried.

I can't see how M$ can beat Apple at their own game.

I doubt they'll be that bad. I'm currently on my Gateway M285 notebook convertible(no spring chicken by any stretch) and I've been running since 3:30 non-stop on the battery writing notes and doing homework at the college. I've still got another hour and a half left and the homework has been a lot of work in Photoshop, One Note, Microsoft Mathematics, and Word 2007. Fans hardly ever come on to cool the C2D 2.16GHz processor running Windows 7 on a 14" HD screen and this sucker is far from being a slouch, especially with the SSD.

If anything, the CCFL inverter could use a fan, it's the hottest part of the whole thing!
