iPhone --> Lumia 920: MAKING THE LEAP/ PRAY FOR ME

Have you tried a soft reset (Hold VOL down + Power button until the phone vibrates)? Sometimes a simple reset will solve a lot of weird problems.

Also, check Language+Region, Browser and search language setting. I live here in Asia but I set it to English (US) so my Bing search page has more content. I do this more for the aesthetic. :P

[I just have a few new questions that I haven't been able to find an answer to just yet, if anyone has any input on them.

HOME WIFI
This one is really frustrating. I can see my home wifi network on there and the phone picks it up at full strength but for some reason my password won't validate. (And I've tried it about three dozen times, verified that it's the same I use for my desktop and laptop in terms of formatting, etc but it just doesn't connect. Wtfunk?

I remember this from my Lumia 900 Days. I had to smack my brain to remember. Try changing the channel on your wireless router. I think it was channel 11 that worked. If that doesn't work, it was either channel 2, 6, or 11.

UNREAD EMAILS?
This one's a bit strange but the e-mails read and filed away in the linked inboxes don't appear as read when I later check my actual gmail.
With gmail, it takes a few mins for it to sync and show the delete/read. max of 30 mins.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT/NEWS/DIRECTION Apps?
I've been getting a crap ton of apps, ones that I definitely see myself using, unlike the iPhone and was wondering if there are any personal favorites around here I mighta missed.
I hit the search key, then hit the little icon with the houses on hit. It is local search. Works amazing well. The music icon on that screen is like shazam, and the eyeball is a QR scanner. Favorite News app by far is Weave Reader. AMAZING. Directions is bar none Nokia Here (Drive +) Once you get it on the phone, then download the USA maps and you have total offline mapping. And they update the maps! It is a lifetime liscense.

Hey there!

I'm seeing exactly the same on my lock screen. Usually if you have a 3G signal or wifi turned on, it updates overnight. It can take a day or two to get it going, but when it does start updating, it's regular as it should be. :)

I think you're right. It's starting to pick up slowly (new cover every 2-3 days). Good enough, thanks!
