I have an IPS and its daylight viewing is subpar. My next phone will be Amoled.

IPS has better pixel longevity. On my old Samsung focus I used to read books online via IE. The little circle menu buttons would always be present in the IE bar and I found that those pixels, due to showing white statically for longer periods of time, started to be dimmer than the surrounding pixels. In effect, I could see a ghost image of menu buttons on the screen.

The brightness life of organic LED pixels is much shorter than IPS.

me too, I heard so much about Nokia lumia's and their amoled screens..
But its still pretty good

I actually prefer LCD in general, but I think that for Windows Phone, AMOLED works really well (on a black device with the dark theme at least) to the point where I'd prefer it there.

When the OS is all stark contrasts, that plays to AMOLED's strengths.

AMOLED. Very rich colors, and the blacks are unbelievable. Low power consumption is icing on the cake!

Most of my "screen on" time is web browsing, so it's IPS for me.
