Is a data or wifi connection needed to use the speech to text input when speaking texts?

I notice I get a network error when I try speak the text instead of typing it...you need data to speak it?

Yes. It hits up the server every time you use it. I love how that app has improved and its fast. But you will need a data connection.

well thats no good news my fat fingers don't navigate that small screen ...there goes my hope for a zero data phone
