Is it really that bad?

Bad SIM port, power button fell out, screen separation, non-working WiFi, broken vibrate and bad touch screens. I had a couple with broken rear speakers and all of them had the bad Windows buttons.

Count me as another 928 user who has had ZERO problems. Also, add me to the list of ex-iPhone users as I switched from the iPhone 5 to the Lumia 928. I'm still an Apple ****** and use a Mac primarily, but I was just tired of the iPhone things that I didn't like (not that it was problematic) but rather I wanted a more visual experience which I'm getting with Windows Phone 8.

Also, I'm retired from the computing business and and have spent 30 years working with these things...and I have to say I could not be happier than I am with the Lumia 928. In fact, I'm honestly at a loss to find anything about it that I don't like, other than it hasn't been out long enough for too many great cases to have been manufactured for it. I bought the Incipio Feather case and though it's nice...I won't be happy until Speck Products comes out with their Candy Shell Grip, which should be in less than a month (rumor has it).

As someone here mentioned, just use your trial period to evaluate whether you like it or not, but I'm betting you will. The display is nothing short of gorgeous and (for my eyes) it's every bit as nice as the iPhone retina display.

(EDIT: and if I could figure out how to change my profile avatar/picture here, I'd stop displaying the iPhone 5)
