Is Preview for Developers dead?

It seems like Preview for developers is dead. Why?

1. The OS version 8.10.14234.375 which was released along with Denim for some phones in some regions was never rolled out via PfD? PfD always received the latest updated before this.
2. The OS version that comes with 430 (the one with the option to pin settings to homescreen etc.) never came to PfD.

I don't think it's dead (yet). I still think that it's the beta to the Windows Insider alpha.
However, what we may be seeing here is Windows Phone team coordinating with the software team over at Microsoft Mobile.
I still hope that the Developer Preview isn't...dead, though.

PfD is here to stay, it wil provide windows 10 update in a similar manner it provides right now once the update is finalized.

We could get a PFD for 8.1 update 2.

I'm wondering the same thing myself. Should gave been out a while ago. If enough people tweet Gabe Aul and Joe B. We could get an answer.

Considering the number of threads here where Lumia XXXX got 8.1 update 2 prior to Win 10, the user decided to wait a while before installing Win10, and noticed weird problems, I would say it's not been tested enough for PfD release. I got it on my 1020 and myself haven't had any issues yet.
