Is there any alternative facebook app for WM10?

The official facebook app is very bad. It crashes very often and many a times it tends to freeze and the only way to keep it back to working is restarting the phone. And I dont know why..but microsoft removed their own facebook app which was not fully featured but at least it was stable. WM10 has been an absolute failure, most of the times the phone tends to get slow and the app openinig and multitasking has become a pain in WM10. Is there any alternative facebook app for WM10?

I'm sorry the "official" facebook app crashes. "We" asked for the official facebook app and got it.

Try reinstalling the app

I suspect a full reset of your phone would ease your pain. I know hard resets are a pain but I guarantee you this: The sluggishness will disappear and battery life should improve as well.

Hard reset time. MS removed its app becouse Facebook forced it.

Also use the in-app feedback option to report the freezing so facebook notices.

I did the hard reset 10 days ago. What to do now? And I never asked for any official facebook app. I was happy with that MS fb app which was very stable

it does not crashes as people complain about it. It may be different for different users but there is no other option except in browser.

Have you tried using touch.facebook.com in the browser? It works quite well in Chrome on Android. I have no idea how it works in mobile Edge.

Store blocks old apps downloads, they needs a xap direct link for sideloading

LOL it was first time I made a WDRT, I was stumbled upon results

Touch.Facebook.Com works very well. You can also use Windows App Studio to easily create a Web Wrapper App and load onto your device. Or if someone here can do that and put it up on the Windows Store, not sure if it is allowed though.

I've never used the app since it uses too much data. I just use UC browser and it works perfectly for my needs. Data usage per day is 3-10MB depending on usage

I strongly suggest using a mobile browser to go on facebook - and with browsers like UC browser, you can disable images thus saving on more than 70% data usage

I use Microsoft's Facebook app and the Facebook Beta app. One for the speed, stability, and richer notifications, the other for the extra features.

I find that the latest update is fast and reliable. I haven't had issues on it. I'm running anniversary update latest stable build and latest facebook app on the 950xl. Maybe it depends on the processor so lower end models may see issues who knows.

I stayed away from the official app, for the very same reason other posters experience. On my 830 it freeze as soon as I launch it, and it plain bad on my 1520. That was like 3-4 months ago, I switched to Edge. I think I mention in another thread... SlimSocial for FB. It's lite & basic and has a black theme... perfect for non-addicts!!
