I own a mid range HP with 4th Gen i5 and 4 GB RAM running w8.1, Was wondering if windows 10 is stable enough in its current state to be used as my daily OS?
I don't do much work on it, just some browsing, movies and stuff.

Nope. The current build has many bugs. And the new builds might have more bugs along with new features. I do not think you should take a chance of installing it on your daily PC. I got a problem with my audio driver not connecting to the OS, which made it impossible to connect any audio output. And i see others have other issues also. By seeing all these bugs, i would tell 'you should wait for the final release'

On slow ring, stabler than I thought.
Fast ring, some minor hiccups and 3 Spartan crashes.

Only on my VM, so try that first to get a sense
