There is a thread about this. . . seeing a WP in the wild. Around me I have seen several and I rarely pay attention on what phone everyone is using.
i've started at my company as only person with a Lumia phone(at that time 920) ,thereafter many phones, 1020,830,640,650,950 and now 950 XL . I've converted so much people to windows phone ive lost count, now over 40 persons at workplace have Lumias, my assistant recently upgraded his 640 to 950 over xmas holidays, i'm to order 650 for another staff who even had Lumia 625 for quite sometime now, but cracked his screen the other day for that phone.
In 4+ years only seen one other besides my own, ever, and that was my son's 920 which he no longer owns. Have seen the odd one on TV in ads and various shows.
I see plenty windows phones out here in the Netherlands, but so far most of them are the NL830 and NL950XL. I've yet to see somebody walk around with the x3 though *grins*
I have run into a few higher end ones in town (Portland, OR) at brew-fests of all places. One guy even had a Mozo wood backed cover on a 950 XL, first of those covers I saw in the wild. I still see 520s on public transit about once a month.
My 9 year old son and I are the only ones left that I ever see with Windows Phones. My 2 older sons have both moved on to iPhones (5C and 7 Plus from 640 and 1520).
I had a couple friends that used Windows phones (HTC M8 and Samsung ATIV) but they both left when W10 wasn't an official option for them.
I still use my 640 XL and my 1320 (640 XL is on the Slow Ring and 1320 is on the Fast Ring) and have no interest in leaving W10M. Recently it seems that a lot of mobile websites have come into their own in terms of functionality compared to apps, so I just use Pin-It to pin the websites to my phones start screen with icons.
