The reason why I want to be part of the program is because I want to meaningfully extend the Windows App store. I've written a couple of apps already that I think move us towards this goal.

1. **** Tracker
While it may seem like a joke at first, this App was actually featured in the Dvlup blog because of its sincerity: This Windows Phone app truly tracks ‘big data’ | DVLUP

http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/****-tracker/dab4d246-a818-4302-91e1-3cc6d7cecbeb

This app gives you a way to track data about your health quickly, conveniently, and discretely.

2. Chances
Chances is the first coin flipper to take advantage of the Cortana API. I built this app because I want to fill a desire I had to give Cortana the ability to flip a coin for me.

Chances | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

Chances supports phrases like:
- "Chances, Flip a coin"
- "Chances, Roll a die"

I intend to keep on developing this app. I would like to add features like Magic 8 Ball and Rock, Paper, Scissors.

I am a professional software developer with over 15 years of experience. Recently, I decided to delve into the world of mobile app development. As a long time user of Windows Phone and for my love of it, I chose Windows Phone as my development platform naturally. I would really appreciate if I am admitted into your program.

I have just published an app in the Windows Phone store called ?Weight Guru?. I have tried to keep it simple and minimalistic (true to the OS principles) and at the same time, provide all the necessary details at the fingertips of the user intuitively.

The link for a very short video (just under 50 seconds) about the features of the app is given below. It would be great if you could take a look at the video. If it interests you, I would appreciate if you try out the app (store link given below) as well. I hope you would like it. If you feel that it is worthy of being featured at your esteemed website and feature it there, it would be of great help and source of encouragement for me.

Please let me know if you have any questions/ comments.

Sincerely.

I've only just started to learn C# with learnvisualstudio.net. In fact Bob Tabor gave me a complimentary life-membership. I want to join this program as I'm keen as to develop apps not only for Windows Phone but every ecosystem. I spent the majority of my adult life in jail and am on this mission to create a better life for myself

Hi! I'm a professional developer and started to create an app named "Personal Accountant" for Windows Phone last March 2014, But then I frequently update it to use the latest feature. Financial apps are the kind of apps that I create. I want to join this because I think this will help me to learn more and integrate the features that I'll be learning from this Dev Program to my current app and to my future apps (which I'm currently planning to create). I knew that there are a lot of improvements needed for my "Personal Accountant" that's why I want to learn and improve it.

By the way, I've been a windows phone user since Windows Phone 7 and been following/reading news from this site since then. and the main reason why I use Windows Phone is to create applications since I am a professional .NET developer.

I'm an aspiring developer for the Windows platform from which I have greatly benefitted as a computer technician. I'm keen on broadening my technical skill sets into software development beginning with Windows phone application development. This is an excellent entry level opportunity that has been graciously offered by Windows Phone Central of which I'm an avid, if not, compulsive reader. It would be great to one day see my Windows app reviewed in WPCentral. Yeah, it's doable especially in a forum like this abounding in programming expertise, and I'm ready to roll. Thanks for providing the members with this one-of-a-kind opportunity.

Hi, I am a mobile developer very passionate about the Windows Phone Platform. I have had apps for Pocket PCs, and Windows Mobile before moving on to Windows Phone. There were only 7500 apps in the windows phone store when I had my first app submitted. Over the years I have witnessed and experienced the growing pains of WP platform and I am very proud to be one of the early adopters. Some of my popular apps are

Location Finder
Calculator Toolbox

I consider it to be a privilege to be part of a group of developers who share the same passion for windows phone development. I strongly believe this great initiative from WP Central will produce great results. Thank you for everything you do to promote the WP Platform.

Cheers!!!

Hi, I am a mobile app developer with 2 apps in Windows Phone Store.
1) GTasker: Task management app that manages Google Tasks
2) Exchange Rates: Monitor currency exchange rates for more than 140 countries.

I would like to join this program to share my apps to more people that need it. I have just started learning coding for Windows Phone for about 1 year. Hope that I can gain more knowledge and programming skill from this program.

Hi, I am a web developer during the day and WP dev during the night. I don't have any apps in the store right now but that will change pretty soon. Currently in the finishing stages of two apps for Windows Phone.
I am a huge fan of windows phone design language and started using Microsoft products mainly for the clean and minimal UX. My goal is to create apps with awesome UI and UX using the Modern design language.
I would love to be a part of this Dev Program because this is a great place to meet other devs and learning about their work and experiences developing for Windows phone. Just going through this thread made me learn about a lot of nice apps in the store and different and amazing people developing those apps. I am so looking forward to being a part of this community.

Thanks.

Hello,

I am an indie developer at Tribe Games, I have been following WPCentral for a little under a year now, and saw a great opportunity to help share my work with the community here. I have created my first full released game recently on Windows Phone and Windows Store called Glitch in the System as an universal app.

I hope to be included in the program to help share what I know about creating games as well as learn from experienced developers. If you are at all interested you can check out my website to learn more about what I do and how I do it among other things. Thanks for the opportunity.

I'm a C# developer and all around computer geek. I would like to break into WP development and have begun watching Channel9 videos towards that end. I hope some of my app ideas are worth looking at. I would love to be part of this program and look forward to what's coming. Thanks for setting this up!

Hi,

My name is Karn and I make applications for Windows Phone! I'd love to join the WPCentral Developer program because it gives developers like myself a chance to approach problems that I may be having with a different point of view as a result of contributions from many other devs. I also feel that working exclusively with the WinRT 8.1 APIs granted me some knowledge that may be of use of other developers working on apps.

I'm currently working on a 3rd party client for Tumblr which is currently in beta (you can join it at wpbeta.me/sapphire-beta) and if you want more info on it and how it looks you can check out reddit.com/r/sapphire or take a look at the blog at sapphireapp.tumblr.com

Looking forward to an opportunity to be part of the program!

I am mostly a C/C++ developer with some C# knowledge. Currently I am trying to help other projects with bugs and ideas. I have a few ideas for some apps that are mostly related to OneDrive sharing.
1. A way of adding/viewing comments on our OneDrive photos again
2. Shared list that would have multiple views into it. Basically allow the person to setup multiple ways of organizing the same data for shopping, travel, etc...

By day I work at a B2B software company, making enterprise solutions. By night I put on mask and cape and go out into the city and make apps.

I have made several experimental apps, and rectracted most of them again. At present I have a small handful in each of Windows and Windows Phone stores. You can find my apps by searching for my secret superhero alias Skymind at Windows and Windows Phone stores. My most successful app is Shire Calendar (both platforms) on which I recieve frequent feedback, and where I am currently working on the next release.

Current Windows Phone apps:
Shire Calendar - Get close to the hobbits by using their calendar system.
CodePlex Search.- With this app you can browse the projects on CodePlex
Om stoffer - A danish app about drugs, and where to get help.

Current Windows apps:
Shire Calendar - Like the Windows Phone app.
Sunset and Sunrise - Shows the time of sunset and sunrise.
Doctor E - Simulates a conversation about any topic you choose.
The One Ring RSS Reader - RSS reader for theonering.net.
Peter Jackson Fan - Fan app about Peter Jackson.

I have far more ideas for both recreational and professional apps than I have time to make at night (wearing mask and cape). One day I hope to step out into the open and make apps by day, as myself. For that to happen society needs to change, or I need to get accepted into this program.

What I hope to get out of the program:

  1. Sharing and discussing the ways I make apps with other developers.
  2. Help on how to better advertise my apps and get more users.
  3. Promotion of my apps on WPCentral, so they can generate a supporting income.
Looking forward to solving apps with you all.
Skymind, hopeful app avenger.
