Just a warning that the 8.1 update CAN fail and you will lose all your data.

Also double-tap to wake seems to have vanished after the 8.1 update....

which part of the upgrade you get this warning in ALMOST DONE screen ? because i'm waiting and its nothing is changing it still showing ''your data is moving''

Where is the option for tap to wake?

Under display+touch all I have is "Touch sensitivity", "Sunlight readability" and "brightness with battery saver".

Even the lumia display thing where I used to be able to change the white-ness of the display (i forget exactly what it was as i never used it, but it showed images and had two sliders. Thats also gone.

EDIT: those 20 updates seem to have fixed it Double tap is back!

Riiiiight at the end, AFTER the 19 steps and the migrating data steps. Right where it should boot into the phone.
