Just bought my DV8P!

I took the plunge and bought the 64gb Venue 8 Pro from the Dell website, despite being too early for any reviews. I guess I just got too excited. It won't ship until Nov 1st. I also got the pen accessory, which said it will ship within 24 hours. It took me a minute to find it separately from the option for the case (which wouldn't ship until Nov 8th).

I think Dell messed up by not having it in stores anywhere for people to play with. I don't mind buying online, but I prefer to have at least handled a device first. I would have bought it IF it actually release yest. and it was in stores.

Well, as for me, I'll wait till the price foes down to somewhere like $299 for the 64GB version or if any stellar reviews come out for it.

I haven't seen anything Dell for a while now, so I'm waiting.

I woke early up on the 18th or whatever it was and ordered through a CSR who told me I was the first sale. I bought so early because I have a ton of Dell Giftcards from my monitors so it only ended up costing me about $100 for the tablet and stylus. The tablet has a delivery date of 10/30 and the is still "in production" but the stylus, which I bought in a separate order, just shipped today. I actually bought a Surface 2 yesterday as well and anticipate buying the 1520 so I am pretty much loaded up on MS products this product cycle!

Has anyone's venue 8 pro actually shipped? The device, not the accessories or anything else.

A few people purchased the DV8P from Walmart yesterday and have started posting their experience so. Check tabletpcreview site. They reported that all stores don't have them in stock as yet though.

Just looked at the Costco website and it is listed there. 32GB for $329 and the 64GB for $349 I believe.
