Keeping Playlists Away From Collection

In Xbox Music, I have noticed if you add a song to a playlist is automatically shows the artist/album/song in "collection". Is there a way to stop this behaviour?

There's no way to stop it that I'm aware of.

You could try adding songs as streaming only to your playlists while leaving your collection set to "on this pc." That might help a little.

That's disappointing that there's no easy way. I have found a method for anyone interested. If you add a song to your playlist, go to "collection" and delete the song and it will remain on your playlist while disappearing from your collection.
