Leaked Nokia 'Atlas' for Verizon (820 variant)

What would be an acceptible price for you, $400 maybe $500? I may get it if it's at $400.

For some reason, I kinda like the look of this phone better than the 810. Can't quite put my finger on it. Still, nothing beats the 920. I really wanted the 820, but the more I think about the 920, the more I really, really, REALLY want one of those, which, if I did get, I'd have to get it unlocked. :dry

I'd probably spend $400 on it, but the 822 would be a tough sell if the 8X were within $100 with regards to full retail price. It would be nice if WP8 devices came in at a lower cost than the iPhone and high-end Android devices do.

$400 for an 822 versus $500 for an 8X... hmmm. I would have to play around with both first. I'll need to take video and pictures, in addition to comparing screens, and decide which would be better.

For some reason this looks like more of a photoshop mockup rather than the real deal. I'll believe it when it's official.

Actually, what kinda bums me out for the Verizon customer base is that if you put spec VS spec of this and the 8X, neither is a runaway winner (I am assuming this is similar to the 820. Still to be announced goodies in this to be seen). I still believe a Flagship Nokia will come to Big Red, but that doesn't help the potential WP customer base now.

It is a mid range device! The HTC 8x will be VZN's upper tier device!

The 8X is a high-mid range device, the 822 is a high-low end device. If you want to get technical. Since the 8X is not on the same league as the Note II/ OneX+.

Well I'm just not really buying that this will be a 820 knockoff. The screen on that phone got leaked ages ago. There was the "phi", "arrow", and now "atlas". So that's why I think it's a different phone

I bet the Note II and OneX+ will sell for $249-$299 with contract, the 8X will sell at $199, the 820 and its variants (like this) will sell at $99 with contract, and the 8S will sell at $0-$49 with contract.

Just my guess.

LOL, nice improvement, Gaichuke.

It's still not the prettiest handset... reminds me of the LG Quantum.
It almost looks like the HTC Trophy with that bottom lip thingy. This is THE ugliest Lumia. The 810 is much nicer looking. I think this thing got hit with the ugly stick!

typical verizon getting the low end devices. I hope by some means they get the 920 variant but knowing verizon I won't be surprised if this is the only nokia they get.

This is totally a non-starter for me. I hate the shape and size. For as much as I dislike the 810 on t-mo, I'd rather go with that if I HAD to over this one. I really wanted the larger screen and hd display along with built in wireless charging. So, it's the 920ish for me or nothing from Nokia, I'd rather do the Ativ or 8x if the 920 is not available on Verizon

I sure hope you are right. That phone is an insult to Verizon Lumia fans.

I still can't get over how fugly and cheap this phone looks. Who in their right mind would purchase this?

I might, it all really depends on what upgrades it may get like the 810 did. I think the 8X is ugly too, just bad color choices in my opinion. So it makes it a bit easier on me.

This does indeed look exactly like a Nokia Mango device that was supposed to launch back in Feb.... It was going to replace the Trophy... obviously it never did.
