Lenovo ThinkPad 8.

My Thinkpad 8 should arrive in a week or two. I'm trying to figure out what a good mobile keyboard solution might be. Have you you sprung for any?

I'm looking at these:

Asus Transkeyboard
ASUS Shop – ASUS TransKeyboard

Microsoft Wedge

Logitech K810
Amazon.com: Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 for PCs, Tablets, Smartphones - Black: Electronics

I really like the idea of the Asus Transkeyboard, but it's awfully expensive. The Logitech can be paired with 3 devices at a time, which is nice. I can't tell if the Asus or Microsoft can be paired with more than one device...

There's also some Lenovo options I haven't looked into yet. Maybe I'll post this in it's own thread since I guess it's not necessarily thinkpad 8 related.

Does it have to be bluetooth? I'm thinking about getting this one this weekend because of included touchpad.

I dislike the fact that you would need an otg cable to use it though since it's not bluetooth.

You may like this one. It's cheaper than most and it has excellent reviews from amazon. It's bluetooth also and has a stand that comes with it.

Hope that helped.

Wow I thought this thread was dead. I still use it every day and I will go over some of the issues I have with it.

Uninstall the pre installed anti virus. It really slows it down a lot.
Lenovo has been slow to release updates especially to the video drivers. Both for Miracast and the HDMI. Very poor orientation problems using both.
Battery life is ok reaching around 8 hours with high brightness.
Charging is another issue. Not getting good result with a car charger. And yes I have tried several.
It does work well with a Bluetooth mouse though. Directly connected without a dongle.
It is also very responsive with a Bamboo stylus. No issues there.
Is it faster than the DV8P? Yes.
Is it worth the extra difference in money? That's a hard one to answer. For me the extra screen size and speed is enough. For most other people I would say no.

As for a full review of it, I believe Daniel said he had one ordered and I don't want to jump his opinion. Hopefully we will see one soon.

I ordered mine on 2/11 and it has not shipped yet ... I got three emails from Lenovo saying that it is being delayed. They literally have pushed out my ship date three times now and currently it says ETD is 4/18 !!! The last email said "Federal Rules" require them to cancel my order if they delay it more, if I want to keep my order I need to approve on to keep it!!!

Has anyone else had similar delays?

I am wondering what could be causing such major delays?

I finally got mine on 5/2 and Lenovo has even taken down the product page for it. So not sure what's going in with it.

Still waiting for the LTE version here in Sweden....
What do you think about the non-LTE version, now that some of you've had it for some time?

How does it feel one year later? Been a while I have it on my listing (the higher build quality seems great, I don't like those bulky ones), but now it seems doomed, Lenovo US seems not to be selling it any longer (we can still buy some in Brazil) and I wonder If I'm going to be trapped with it.

And now... with HP Stream 8 (with 4g) coming... should I go to a different direction then?
