LG Optimus 7 in sunlight shows rows of pixel looking dots.

I own the LG Optimus 7. I am wondering if my phone is okay. Whenever my phone is in the sun my screen seems to show pixel looking dots I am still able to use my phone fine I am just wondering if its the type of screen or there is something wrong with my LCD and I need repairs.

There isnt anything wrong with it because mine does that. (unless mine is messed up to ) I believe it's just the screen.

Does it look like a grid placed over the screen that is much lower resolution than the screen itself? And it only shows up in bright sunlight at certain angles, very faintly?

If so, that is the capacitive layer, the bit that detects your fingers. If you get enough light and hold any smartphone or tablet (that has a capacitive screen) at the right angle, you'll see it.
