Well we're all entitled to our opinions. We'll just have to agree to disagree. And in my opinion, it is the direct opposite. And I never said I didn't like the notification center. And instead of using "TBH" (my use was a sarcastic rebuttle) you should probably us "IMHO". "TBH" makes you sound like you feel you're 100% right, and there is no argument...comes off as a little pompous.

Exactly. And no worries. I've been a user of the same. Sometimes they right and I was, and sometimes just misunderstood/interpreted. Hence, the advice...comes from personal experience.

Don't like that when I'm texting and I receive a text while it's open I get a notification noise.. All my sounds are turned off, I should be able to not have this annoyance while I'm in active texting. Any way to fix this??

I get these noises while I'm on a call. Game alerts, texts, emails all chiming in my ear while I'm talking. So annoying. All alerts should be in an auto quiet/silent mode when on a call. I don't recall any other phone I've ever had that was annoying in this regard. Is there a simple solution to fix I'm missing?

Wow, people really ripping in to this. I am still on WP 7 so I don't have any of these problems. Why is Xbox Music so bad now? I never thought it was fantastic before but it was usable.

From what people are saying, it sounds like MS is getting away from all of the things that made WP different. Apparently now its just that WP has tiles.

Some notifications, when i click on them (such as FB for example) will open the app but not take me to the proper designation (i.e. i recieved a LIKE for a post, will just open FB but no go to the post).

I hate the status bar showing everywhere, no bing vision in cortana, and while 8.1 seems faster, 8.0 was smoother, also having the games on the app list is annoying, the photos hub is gone and the fb integration too

I can no longer sync with my macbook. My macbook doesn't the spinning thing forever and then doesn't recognize my phone. Sucks.

Just compare it with chrome on android look at the test results in all the different benchmarking sites.

It's way behind the competition.

Also I hate that it still have some problems in requesting the desktop sites when the option is selected.

There is nothing much that I don't like about WP8.1 because it is a huge improvement compared to WP8.0.

BUT I still have big problems with the OS though:

1. The photos taken with Lumia cameras (I have 2 Lumia 925 phones) are not good anymore (not sharp enough + not luminous enough + yellowish tint). The photo quality degraded with firmware Amber (it was way better with the Portico firmware and it was never repaired afterwards). I would never buy a Nokia phone for that reason anymore.
2. The WiFi of the WP8.1 DevPrev is very weak: it only works when my phone is within 3 meters from my router. This was way better in WP8.0.
3. The clock of my 2 phones loses about 5-10 seconds per day (even when set to automatic update with carrier). It looks like the carrier is sending a pulse correctly but that it is not treated by the OS immediately, hence a slowdown of several seconds per day.
4. The search button (right lower part of my screen) reacts to a touch much to fast, I am always sent to bing/cortana because I touch that button unintentionally.
5. I cannot print office files, pdf files, e-mails, etc to a WiFi printer from within WP.

The annoyances above are the reason(s) why I would not buy MS/WP/Nokia phones anymore.

Stop it new ie 11 is worlds apart from previous ie.thanks Microsoft.

Only gripe with WP 8.1 is that people hub does not show my friends post ND pictures. other than few glitches like phone freezes sometime which can be solved by locking ND unlocking the power button.no problems with my Lumia 820 .i don't complain battery drain since Lumia 820 always had pathetic battery life even in WP 8.

My battery is at 93% after 30 minutes of being off the charger. I have a 1020. I could go 2-3 hours on 100% before it dropped to 99%. I'm a little worried that 8.1 is a battery drainer

that's a lie...2-3 hours of use? BS detected..

I don't have WP 8.1 but that stuff is minor to me. I actually prefer it. Sometimes I get lazy just to swipe it down. With the bar always being there it keeps us lazy ppl more alert

Well..there are ways to solve two of my issues that I a might go home and do tonight.

1. Hard Reset.

Upon restarting - DENY RESTORE

This apparently lets the ability to post from FB in tact..Meaning the Me Tile still has FB + Twitter integration.

2. Music Hub

The worst thing to have happened to the entire WP platform since it's inception.

My solution? The Music Tile Hub..

It's a (free!) app from the app store that let's you into the old (and sorted) Music Hub.

What remains is the annoying Notification Centre and the Games Hub. Will be solved over time I guess.
