Live images option missing after factory reset

This is very odd.. But after a factory reset Nokia Camera no longer shows the option to enable live images in the settings. Not sure how this could've happened. Thankfully I came across the app "Lumia Camera Classic" which does allow me to enable this option.

Anyone know how this could've happened or how to get it back without the need for an additional app?
