live tiles feel like a gimmick after they have stopped updating

Bought a Lumia 720 10 days ago....live tiles worked well for first 2-3 days after that they just stopped....might have been cause i installed some app that stopped it but they updated once a day ago and now again stopped.....could be because of roaming but i have set settings to use data connection while roaming and i get good 2g connection here(sometimes it changes to 3g with a single bar) i have managed the background tasks well and battery saver off and restarted the phone a couple of times with no luck....they might start working after coming back home but even the battery apps don't update....i see this happening to other people also in the forums....this shouldn't be a problem as this is a major selling point *sigh*

If you are normally only getting 2G data, it sounds like a regional problem to me. What part of the world are you located in?

India(on a holiday to parts of india where there's 2g coverage) i get the same problem in 3g coverage also....and 2g also shouldn't affect the battery apps
