Looking for Kik alternative

Like the title says, but I would like one that also connects to the Kik. network. I use it to keep in touch with others overseas and they're too stubborn to switch (they have androids). None of the messengers I read about on the store indicate they do such a thing and I really don't wanna install em all to test lol. Thanks.

What's wrong with the Kik messenger for Windows Phone?

There's no 3rd party client for Kik as far as I know - the Kik for wp isn't great admittedly, but I've used it with my stubborn android-wielding friends for almost a year now. I would suggest sticking with the official kik, or trying again to persuade them to install whatsapp or something.
