Looking to maybe buy the Xbox Series S console

I'm looking to maybe buy the Xbox Series S from Microsoft for $299. This console doesn't have a disk drive so I think all games need go be downloaded when purchased, correct? And a personal Microsoft account is needed (Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, Msn.com, etc) to make this console work?

Correct. I have one. You login with your Xbox account (which is a Microsoft account). And all games will be digital. It's good. I have one in the bedroom and it is solid to play on. Only downside is managing storage and if you prefer physical copies.
