Lost all audio after update

I downloaded the an update for 8.1 last night, this morning i discovered that i can't get any audio, any apps that have audio come up with the 'loading...' screen then close, doesn't ring for incoming calls, doesn't even vibrate, headphones don't work tried soft restart, didn't work, is there any way to fix it?
