lumia 1520 purchase dilema/ 8.1 screen fix ?

So i just noticed the huge number of complaints regarding the screen sensitivity/brightness bug . Even though not everyone has this ( seems like a hit and miss ) im really reluctant on getting the 1520 now as i don't wanna spend my time cursing at my new phone. So Il just wait for the 8.1 update to magically fix this otherwise in stuck with the 920 :/ what do you guys think about the possibility of the 8.1 update fixing this issue ?

Recent firmware update seems to have fixed the issue on lumia 1520.

You can go for an upgrade if you want 6inch device with full hd display and top notch specs. Though I am still fine with my lumia 920 , I am keeping it for another year and see how windows phone 8.1 performs in this (I am sure it will work fine :wink: )

If anything's gonna fix this problem it's going to be Nokia's firmware update. And that will be coming with Cyan, not with the 8.1 developers preview.

I can confirm that the brightness bug and touch sensitivity issues were fixed on my phone by the recent firmware update. The brightness bug was a GREAT FIX. Love this phone (don't miss my iPhone 5s at all...except for the spotify app). With the upcoming spotify app update, this phone will be perfect.
