lumia 1520 screen delay

When I push the power button my screen turns on black then goes to lockscreen (this whole process is like 1 second). My 920 doesn't do this, is this normal?

If it has a time, and then it shows the lock screen, you probably have the glance screen enabled.

nope it just like turns on a black screen then flashes to the lockscreen. It is literally probably in the miliseconds for how long it flashes. It seems like it could be fixed with an update and isn't exchange worthly
