Who thinks the rumored 1525 will be an upgraded 1520, meaning same polycarb body with SD 801 and better screen? Who thinks it will be a new design?

I'm thinking it will be the same body as the 1520 since the battery is rumored to be the same size. If it were a newly designed body I think it would have a larger battery, maybe like 3500-3800 mah.

Well I've seen the 1520 (and bought the 1320 money-well-wise) and will say it needs to be lighter to compete in the "top of the line" range. I would make it at least 30% lighter.

The rumor mill says it will have the Snapdragon 801, 3GB of ram and a 2560x1440 screen. All that will fit into the current body.

I wouldn't hold my breath on all that. Most XX5 models are only minor changes.

Not only that, I think the added resolution would wash out any performance benefit of the newer processor. It may even bog it down more. WP8.1 is already struggling on some devices @ 1080p with its current SoC.

Are we even sure this is coming out this fall?

One, Daniel said he didn't see any new high-end devices coming out for the rest of this year.

Two, I find it odd it to be called the 1525. All the 8.1 devices are a 3 and not a 2 anymore such as the Lumia, 530, 360, and 930. Even if this does come out I don't think it'll be called the 1525, but probably the 1530.

I really hope a replacement for the 1520 comes out before year's end as it will be a year since the 1520. When Threshold comes, I think they'll get rid of the numbers and Nokia branding. Have a new naming system, probably keep the Lumia name though. I guess will find out eventually!

I think the 1525 was something nokia was working on, then Microsoft killed it. They want do not want to release any more x2x series phones. Hopefully we will see a 1530 with some big changes this fall.

The leaker that originally dropped this has been pretty accurate. Not many details, just that the 1525 is real.

I hope they include a stylus and handwritten capability on one note. This will make it a great companion for surface pro 3

Keeping a 6inch screen in the 1525 is perfect cause I love big screens on a cell phone. But what would be amazing is to make a huge battery in the phone!! A phone where you don't have to charge it every night, where you can you use for 2-3 days without a charge

In other words, the 1520?

If the 1525 isn't real or isn't available on at&t soon and the HTC W8 isn't available on at&t soon I'm getting a G3. That's right, an Android!!
