Lumia 720 amber no glance

Hey all, great forum, I rearly need some help on a Nokia lumia 720 issue.

I've just purchased an unlocked one from handtec, it booted in German but not an issue, selected English etc ....

The phone updater says it's all upto date but I have no glance function, I goto settings display and touch and there's just three options, you can't swipe left or right so I'm kinda confused as I thought the latest update was amber ?
Also, turn brightness to high and when you turn phone off, it restarts.... Set it to auto and it's powers down and stays off... Is there a reason lol...

I'm using an O2 uk pay monthly sim without a problem..... Please someone help, it's driving me to distraction lol

You have to update display from here and extras+info from here. Or just install SysApp Pusher from here and check available Nokia updates. You will got glance.

Cool, just got off live chat with O2 and they say the haven't released the update for the 720 yet ? Is that right ....

As long as you have GDR2/Amber on your 720 it doesn't matter what they say. Glance will work after you update system apps.

Lol, I'm stupid here, but how do you update the system apps ?

I told you in post #2. I gave you also the links for what you need; it is under the red text "here"
Display or extras+info for example are system apps

Late edit: Are you sure you have Amber update installed? You can see this by tapping settings > extras+info. There it should display Lumia Amber text.

Gotta cheers, any idea on the restart issue and rearly stupid here but when I restart the phone it defaults back to a 13 level volume, can I set this somehow myself ? Sorry for being so stupid but it's rearly appreciated

The default sound level is 13. So, it automatically sets to 13

For anyone else having issues:

1. Connect to WiFi
2. Check for updates
3. Download Lumia Updater from the Store
4. Manually pick every item from System from within the Lumia Updater app
5. Enjoy your up to date phone.
