Even after updating to amber, I still find that I can't send SMS when connected to 3g ( and data is on). Rest of the time, sms works fine..

Anybody else facing the same problem? Or, anyone knows any work around ?

Using the Access point app from Nokia seems to resolve the issue for me.

So, Amber is clean, without any issues.

My phone has become all the very usable now

Hi Guys,

Well this did work for me and over the past 2 months i had been using the phone without any problems. i was back to enjoying the Nokia Lumia 822 without any issues on the old software.
Unfortunately yesterday morning i found my my phone was switched off and when i tried to start it, i only saw the windows logo and the phone went off again. Assuming that the battery may have died out, i put the phone to charge. Here again it displays the windows logo and then shuts off again. this happened every 1 min approximately while on charge.
I took it to the local nokia service center in India, and they said that the software was a problem unfortunately they did not have the software for this model in India.They checked the battery too and said it was fine and shows as charged.
I came home this evening and tried to flash the phone again to the old software. I even got the red screen showing updating on 2 instances but then its showed as failed. Now whenever i try gain i get the vibration on pressing the Volume down and Power keys, but nothing happens after that. Please help me guys. I feel left with a Lumia 822 brick .

in my phone contacts, few of them I can send SMS text, however, for few of my phone contacts, the send text option is not even there... how am I suppose to send texts if the option s not there at all.

me too has the same problem any solution, some places says change the date system to 01/02/2013 but not work for me, another says rename the files and still not work, some one any suggestion.
