Lumia 820: Microsoft Account (Hotmail) is not updating - Error code: 85010014

Hi,

For some reason my Microsoft account is not updating. If i go to email+account i can see a red text "Attention required" under my Microsoft account. By clicking it, i receive notification:

"Hotmail error
Not updated

There's a problem with blu-m-hotmail.com.
Try again later.

Last tried 2 minutes ago
Error code: 85010014"

I have linked my xxxxx.xxx@live.com address to the microsoft account which is working just fine elsewhere.

Please advice.

Erase tha account n then set it up again. I've only had that problem once n no drama since!

for me facebook chat is not getting connected,
showing signed in, bt at online its not showing online friends....

Have you recently set up the two step verification with the Authenticator app?

Some apps don't support two-step verification codes. If you get a password error, visit https://account.live.com/Proofs/AppPassword to create an app password instead.

yeah i have the same problem and all they seem to say you can do is a "hard reset" where you restore factory settings and lose all your photos and contacts etc, as you cant back up by emailing them to yourself or something first, they will all be gone for good so this is not an acceptable solution for me which means im paying extra for a "smart" phone which doesnt do email! great job microsoft

having the issue as well here, and because this is the primary account i cannot delete it to re-enter it.
Looks like hard reset is the only option. Am i right?
